50/60 Anniversary Season Pass FAQ's
1. What is the 50/60 Squaw season pass?
The 50/60 Squaw season pass is being introduced in honor of Squaw’s anniversary season; the 60th year of our founding and the 50th year of Squaw hosting the 1960 Winter Olympic Games. We are planning a season long celebration with amazing events and we want you to join us for the season long festivities.
2. When is the 50/60 pass on sale?
The pass will be on sale beginning March 20, 2009 at www.squaw.com. Purchasers can fill out all paperwork and pay online. Purchasers will receive a confirmation receipt and can fulfill their 2009/2010 pass at the Squaw Season Pass office beginning June 20, 2009. All purchasers must sign a liability release upon pickup of the pass.
3. I would prefer not to purchase online, what are my options?
You may fill out the season pass form, include method of payment and return to us by mail according to instructions on the form. You may also visit us in person at the Season Pass office to register in person.
4. What will I need to bring with me when I pick up my pass (after purchasing online)?
You will need a valid photo identification, and online purchase confirmation (you will recieve an automated confirmation after purchasing online). You will also need to sign a liability release upon pickup. For children, young adults and non-driving seniors, please bring a copy of your birth certificate or valid passport.
5. Can someone else pick up my pass for me?
No, the passholder must pick up the pass for security purposes regardless of whether or not we have an existing photo.
6. May I mail in a photo?
Not at this time. We will make efforts to take photos at various Bay Area, Sacramento and Reno events; please provide us with your valid email address during the purchase process so that we can inform you when we are coming to a location near you.
7. What is the deadline and what happens after that?
THE SCHEDULED DEADLINE FOR THIS PRICING IS MAY 11, 2009 at midnight (for online purchases) or at close of business in the Season Pass Office (3pm). However, quantities are limited and the deadline is subject to change. Purchase early-prices will increase.
8. I am an existing passholder, what should I do?
You have two options on onestore.squawshop.com.
1: Simply renew your existing pass online with the product of your choice. By doing this, your existing 2008/2009 pass will allow you to go directly to the lifts starting on opening day of the 2009/2010 Winter Season (Platinum and Gold passholders must visit the Season Pass Office to receive their coupon book).
2: If want a new photo and a new pass do not choose renewal option; choose new season pass. Choose the product of your choice and plan on visiting the Season Pass Office for a new photo and pass.
9. If I am an existing passholder and you have my photo, can you just mail it to me?
Sorry, but we are not mailing passes for security purposes. We will make every effort to make your pickup seamless by just having you sign a liability release at an existing passholder pick up location. Again, please provide us with a valid email address during the purchase process, so that we can inform you of the pick up dates.
10. I am looking for Race Team pricing; where is it?

Sorry, no. Due to the discounted pricing of the 50/60 pass, family rates are no longer available.
26. How many are you going to sell; will it be crowded?
We are limiting the number of passes we sell in order to ensure a pleasurable on mountain, Village and parking lot experience. Squaw Valley USA has the highest uphill capacity of any resort in the nation. We have 33 lifts accessing 4,000 acres of diverse beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. Our parking lot is the largest and most convenient parking lot in the area. From the main public parking lot, preferred parking lot or valet parking, guests can be on the lifts in a matter of moments from the time they park their vehicle.
27. What is the "early-up" for Platinum Passholders? We are planning to schedule a once monthly early access corduroy program where we will invite Platinum Passholders by email to join us for first tracks on the hill. The program will most likely take place on Sundays and will be from 7:30am - 9am, weather and conditions permitting.
28. What is the "out of bounds" program for Platinum Passholders? As weather and conditions permit, we will schedule (on short notice) a guided out of bounds tour and notify Platinum Passholders by email. We have different terrain options and will make a determination on the tour based on best conditions. For now, terrain to include Shirley Canyon, Happy Valley and Lemming Ridge.
