First Time Adventure Package for Adults

There's no better place to learn to ski or snowboard!

Squaw Valley offers more for first time beginners than any other resort. Choose from two distinct learning areas, on the upper or lower mountain.

The First Time Adventure Package is for first time skiers and snowboarders (ages 13 & up) and available at the Papoose Learning Center or High Camp. The package includes:

• Equipment Rental
• Beginner Lift Ticket
• Introductory Group Lesson

Papoose Discovery Area

The new Papoose Discovery Area is tucked away on the lower mountain near the Far East lift and offers exceptional easy terrain, two surface lifts and a new double chairlift for first timers. You'll meet your instructor and learn the basics of skiing or snowboarding.

Then, after an introductory lesson, and if you feel ready, you'll have the option to upgrade to another lesson package and head up the mountain via the Cable Car to High Camp.

High Camp

At the top of the Cable Car, High Camp is the gateway to our expansive beginner area in a beautiful upper mountain meadow. Three beginner double chairlifts are available and plenty of wide open space to practice on.

If you'd like, you can stay in the lesson all day, or, upgrade again to the next level.

Purchase First Time packages at any ticket portal, Ski School Office, or the Rental Shop. Available 7 days a week. Lessons begin at 11am and 2pm.
