The Squaw Valley Snowsports School is offering 2-for-1 group lessons for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Lessons begin at 10am, noon and 2pm and are just $49 - that's $24.50 per person! (not valid 2/13-2/21)
Ski With A Pro: We're Ready When You Are!
This revolutionary teaching system is designed for adult skiers and snowboarders (ages 13 and up) from never-ever to expert.
Ski With A Pro - Training Areas (Levels 2 - 5). Each Level has a specific goal and mastery of technique is achieved through use of proper ski terrain, skill blend and turn shape. Your Ski Pro will help guide you toward successful skiing or snowboarding. Meet at the Ski School area adjacent to the High Camp Bath & Tennis Club for evaluation and direction to the proper Training Area.

Instruction Level/Training Area Descriptions:
Papoose Learning Area OR High Camp Beginner Area Never Ever Beginners
First time beginners start out with our First Time Adventure package offered at the Papoose Learning Area on the lower mountain or at High Camp at the top of the Cable Car. Designed specifically for the newcomer, you'll learn a gliding wedge on an easy beginner slope, and how to turn and stop in both directions. Two surface lifts are available at the Papoose area and 4 lifts are available on the upper mountain. Many beginner find that it is easiest to start at the Papoose Area and then graduate to the upper mountain once you become comfortable on your skis.Training Area #2 - Linking Turns 1-3 days experience
The next step in your progression is to master linked wedge turns. You will add rhythm to your turns, learn how to control your speed and improve your balance while enjoying easy novice runs.
Training Area #3 - Shaping Turns 2-6 days experience
You are in control on all easy novice runs and have mastered linking your wedge turns. Your balance and speed control is getting better and now its time to learn how to make turns with a parallel finish. You will practice edging your skis transferring your weight from ski to ski and finish your turns in a parallel fashion. Your balance and stance will improve and skiing will become easier.
Training Area #4 - Intro To Parallel Turns 6 or more days experience
It's time to learn parallel skiing. Here you will learn how to use your pole to help initiate a parallel turn. Simultaneous edging and weight shift will be emphasized. Once you've mastered level 4 you will feel that you have really made a breakthrough.
Training Area #5 - Parallel Enhancement
Designed for skiers who already have the basics of the parallel turn and are looking toward becoming advanced skiers. Emphasis is on proper stance, pole use, refinement of pressure, edging and steering skills used in advanced parallel skiing.

Three person minimum for two hour group lessons. For groups less than three the duration of the lesson will be reduced to one hour.
