Testimonials
Here's what customers are saying:
I loved everything about JFW, especially my instructor Melissa. She intuitively knew when to push and when to pull back. Hiking the Palisades was hard, but worth it. Her knowledge of ski technique and the mountain were exceptional. I enjoyed the speakers and equipment seminar. I look forward to taking JFW again! Renee, Berkeley, CA
The JFW was a great program. I liked the small groups and felt I had plenty of attention. We worked hard to improve our skiing, but it was always fun and I learned a lot. I saw so many different and beautiful sceneries of Squaw while improving my skills. The gatherings were fun with great food and wine. I'll do this again!" Tomoko, Mountain View, CA
Hi Melissa. I thoroughly enjoyed the clinic I took with you and felt that I got a lot of it. Most of the time I ski with instructors or guys that have taken numerous extreme clinics and I got more out of three days with you than years of their coaching! Linda, Watertown, CT
After staying home with kids for years, I was ambivalent about skiing - but JFW took care of that! My skiing has improved and most importantly, my confidence and love for skiing have flourished because of the clinics. I return to Squaw because the quality of instruction is unsurpassed. JFW has become a fun "girls only" event with morning coffee, great instruction, lots of skiing, dinners and get-togethers. Each winter, I look forward to returning to JFW. Keri, Menlo Park, CA
The JFW is an outstanding, challenging and supportive clinic in which the instructors focus on technique and those barriers that hold many of us back - a fun way to get out of your comfort zone! Anne, Walnut Creek, CA
Taking JFW was the single most important thing I ever did to improve my skiing and enjoyment of the mountain. To this day, when I hit the moguls on West Face, I can hear Fran encouraging me down that hill - to the thrill of making it to the bottom that first time. I recommend JFW to anyone at any skill level... Thanks to Fran, I ski that West Face with my son all the time now...would never have done it without the JFW clinic. Laura, Mill Valley, CA
Hello Fran, My experience with the Women's clinic last year (2007-08) was simply AMAZING !! I plan to do it again this year. I am inviting 5 or 6 friends to do it with me this year. I learned more in one weekend then in ALL my ski years combined! You were so patient and knowledgeable! You explained things in a way that FINALLY made sense. I cant wait to attend again this year! Thanks so much!! Barbara, El Dorado Hills, CA
Dear Fran, I am so thankful I met you at the JFW clinic (as is my husband). You helped me improve my skiing ability -- and more importantly -- my confidence. The day was a great balance between instruction and fun. I felt very supported being in a women-only environment. I look forward to see you in your bright blue helmet and perhaps skiing with you again this season. Jennifer, Ross, CA
At my first JFW, when Pat asked our group if we wanted to ski until we were 85, I was thrilled at such a notion. Then Evie gave me the love for skiing and Squaw Valley and I was hooked. I returned to JFW for eight years, skiing with exceptional instructors. These women were my "s-heroes" and they guided and inspired me. Fran, on my last 2 JFWs helped me break through skiing steeps & difficult terrain. I started out as an advanced beginner and now I'm an instructor! Thank you JFW. Katherine, Stockton, CA
