Ingrid Backstrom - The life of a professional Skier
Our very own Squaw Valley resident Ingrid has been kind enough to come share her experiences with us, on what it has been like to become a world class professional FREE SKIER. Ingrid is one of the top female pro skier in extreme competitions as well as the best ski films each year. A three-time collegiate All-American skier, Ingrid entered her first Freeski competition in April 2001. A year later, she was ranked second in the world, a position she's maintained. Last season she won the Canadian Freeskiing Championships and took third at the U.S. Freeskiing Nationals.
