For the third year, Tahoe Truckee Earth Day welcomes the Patagonia Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival (WSEFF), which begins at 7:00 pm on Friday, April 25 at the Olympic Village Lodge in Squaw Valley, features a selection of ten films chosen from among the hundreds originally screened at the WSEEF in Nevada City in January. The mix of relevant, thought-provoking and often humorous films include the Oil & Water Project by Seth Warren, which won the People’s Choice Award in Nevada City, Climate; a Crisis Averted, Fridays at the Farm and Ribbon of Sand, among others. www.wildandscenicfilmfestival.org
This year’s film festival is sponsored by Nevada County Recycles. Food and cash bar beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets are $10 advance, $12 at the door, and will be on sale in April at New Moon Natural Foods in Truckee and Tahoe City, Mad about Music in Kings Beach and Alice's Market in Squaw.
