SnowFest 2008
Every spring since 1982, North Lake Tahoe comes alive with ten fun-filled days and nights, jam packed with events and activities for all ages. This year, the annual favorites will be back, along with expanded music events, and a host of great new ones! On and off the mountain, there's something for everyone. Enjoy on-snow events at resorts like Squaw Valley USA, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Diamond Peak, and Northstar-at-Tahoe. Opening ceremonies will kick off at Squaw Valley USA on Feb. 29th!
OPENING NIGHT: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2008
Torchlight Parade & Fireworks Extravaganza
A beautiful torchlight parade and a colorful fireworks show are part of the fun as we kick-off a weeklong celebration of the North Lake Tahoe Community, the annual Snow Festival.
Schedule:
6:30pm: Queen Coronation – Snow Festival Queen is crowned at the Olympic House KT Sun Deck.
7pm: Opening Night Celebration & Fireworks – Torchlight parade down the lower mountain by Squaw Valley Ski School, followed by Fireworks and rockin’ music!
9pm: SnowFest Kick-Off Party in Olympic House – DJ Mancub will be spinning at Zenbu and live music at Bar One. (Must be 21 and with proper I.D.)
