Would you like to become more skilled?
Free weekly workshops will help you understand the benefits
and correct use of an important tool for backcountry skiing, snowboarding
and snowmobiling.
EVERY FRIDAY! Through April. FREE!
Workshops are held at the SQUAW VALLEY SKI PATROL building in the
RED DOG complex at 5:30pm.
Each workshop last 1 1/2 to 2 hours and will include classroom instruction,
discussion and hands-on practice. WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!
Workshop Topics Include:
Types of avalanche rescue beacons,
advantages and disadvantages
Rescue techniques and search methods
Useful tools and procedures for backcountry rescue
Basic Avalanche Awareness.
