Squaw Valley USA is proud to offer the Papoose Discovery Center- a dedicated beginner area with expansive beginner terrain at the base of the mountain. The new Papoose Deluxe double chairlift is a custom-outfitted chairlift with special padded seats and extra room to accomodate beginners with ease and comfort.

PAPOOSE FIRST TIME ADVENTURE PACKAGES
This unique area is a great starting place for first time skiers and snowboarders, with wide-open easy learning terrain. The First Time Adventure Package at Papoose includes a Papoose lift ticket, equipment rental (skis or snowboards) and a two-hour introductory ski or snowboard lesson - all for only $92 regular season. Then, once you have mastered those skills, upgrade to the next level, and the upper mountain for only $29.

Note: The Papoose area lesson programs are for ages 13 and above. For lessons for ages 12 & under, please head for the Squaw Kids Children's Center.

LESSONS
Squaw Valley Ski & Snowboard School's instructors will introduce you to the fun of skiing or snowboarding in this comfortable learning environment. Then, when you're ready, you can make the move to the upper mountain and upgrade to a level 2 lesson package.

TICKETS & EQUIPMENT
Papoose lift tickets and lesson packages are available for purchase at the Far East ticket portals, located adjacent to the Papoose area. Also in the Far East Center, you'll find a complete rental shop, accessory shop, restrooms, and the Red Dog Bar & Grill.
