High Camp

topOcc.gifEnjoy uninterrupted views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra, ice skate at the Olympic Ice Pavilion, travel back in time and learn a little more about the 1960 Winter Olympic Games at the Olympic Museum or relax at the Poolside Umbrella Bar and soak up the sierra sun in the Swimming Lagoon & Spa (opens March 20, 2006 for the spring and summer).

Guests ride the 2,000 vertical feet to High Camp in Squaw Valley's aerial Cable Car (or the Pulse Lift from Gold Coast Lodge) where all of these activities plus numerous sundecks, and the Poolside Cafe and Terrace restaurant await.

High Camp is also the gateway to most of Squaw Valley's beginner terrain. Here skiers and snowboarders will find scenic views and plenty of wide open gentle slopes on which to hone their skills. From High Camp Squaw Valley's professional Ski & Snowboard school offers group lessons every hour, on the hour, through the innovative "Ski Your Pro" program.

Use High Camp as your night skiing and riding base as it offers access to the 3.2-mile mountain run and the Riviera terrain park and half-pipe. Ice skating also continues into the evening and Alexander's Cafe offers a unique setting for your mountain-top dinner. Why not try one of Alexander's new Twilight Dinner Packages?
